Wizard of Oz coming to Southport

The Wizard of Oz is back on the yellow brick road and heading towards Southport – and we’re giving away free tickets!

The pantomime production from Regal Entertainments will visit Southport Theatre from October 24-26.

Cheryl Fergison, most notably known for playing Heather Trott in the BBC’s Eastenders, will play The Wicked Witch of the West.
Additionally, BBC Pitch Battle star and singing sensation Maddie Hope Coelho will star in the role of Dorothy.
X-Factor star from 2006, David Heath, will play the Scarecrow, and hilarious Richard Hazlewood will play the Cowardly Lion.

Guaranteed to give an oil-slick performance as Tinman, the panto regular, Philip McGuiness.

The Wizard of Oz is a firm family favourite, which tells the story of young Dorothy Gale and her dog Toto as they embark on a wondrous adventure over the rainbow in the magical land of Oz.

Chantelle Nolan, producer of the Wizard of Oz, said: “We are very excited to continue our tour of the North West.
“We had an amazing time during the run of the show in St Helens last year and critics are raving about our recent Stockport show.

“Audiences seem to go mad for it with many families making return visits, so catch it while you can in Liverpool, Southport and Rhyl!”
Better yet, Visiter.co.uk readers have been given the opportunity to win a family ticket (for two adults and two children).
